V5med Lung AI is an AI-based, FDA-approved computer-aided detection (CADe) system developed by V5med. The system is specifically designed to support the global low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) lung cancer screening process, helping radiologists detect and assess lung nodules quickly and accurately.
The system automatically identifies lung nodules and provides real-time measurements, including diameter, volume, nodule type (e.g., glaucoma – GGN), and Lung-RADS® classification. Additionally, the system supports image comparison over time, enabling precise alignment of lung nodules across different scans and quantifying growth trends (such as volume doubling time – VDT), thereby improving consistency and efficiency in patient monitoring.
The final reports are automatically generated based on ACR Lung-RADS and Fleischner Society guidelines, providing structured recommendations to support clinical decision-making while ensuring consistency in patient communication and follow-up planning.
